Renovations & extensions
Renovations and extensions are the bulk of what we build. Most start the same way: the house works for everything except the part the family actually lives in, and the fix is either more space or better space.
Start Your Project
What it covers
- Ground floor and second storey additions
- Structural alterations and opening up living areas
- Lock-up renovations
- Kitchen, living and dining reworks
- Decking and outdoor living as part of the build
- Working to your drawings, or helping you get them
Old houses keep secrets
On an existing house you are building on top of decisions somebody else made, sometimes decades ago and often undocumented. At David Street we found a septic tank on no plan anywhere, which pushed some footings to 2.7 metres. That risk never disappears, so the only thing that matters is that you hear about it the day we do, with a price attached.
One we have done
A Blairgowrie addition, and a septic tank nobody knew was there
An addition, alterations, decking and a carport on a coastal block - started in August and handed over before Christmas, despite finding something under the ground that was on no plan anywhere.
Read the write-upEvery job runs the same way
Six stages from first questionnaire to handover, with every change priced in writing before the work happens. A bathroom gets the same process as a new home.
