Prominent Builders

Peninsula homes, built without budget surprises

From kitchens and bathrooms to full renovations and custom new homes - every job open-book. You see every cost, line by line, not a lump sum.

As seen on The Block 2026

CDB-U 75629 (Domestic Licence) · CCB-L 100254 (Commercial Licence)

Most people are not afraid of building. They are afraid of the bill they did not see coming.

The quote comes in low. The variations arrive quietly. The trades are whoever was cheapest that week, calls go unreturned for a fortnight and nobody can tell you what has actually been spent. That is the part of building that costs people sleep, and it is the part we set the business up to fix - on a bathroom just as much as a new home.

Two jobs, written up properly

Most builders show you a photo. We would rather show you the job - including the parts that went sideways.

Or just browse the photos

One set of plans. Five builders. Five different numbers.

Send the same drawings to five builders and the prices can come back nearly $200,000 apart. That is not five opinions about what your house is worth. It is five different sets of assumptions, and only one of them survives contact with your build.

Why quotes differ

What open-book actually means

01

You see the trade quotes we see

Not a single lump sum, but every costing, line by line.

02

Every variation in writing, first

Scope changes get priced and approved by you before the work happens. No surprise line items at the end of the job.

03

You deal with the owners

The person who quoted your job is the person who runs it, which is the only reason the open-book part is worth anything.

The six-stage process

The questions everyone asks

We build across 15 suburbs, mordialloc to portsea, and further for the right project.

How do I know the price will not blow out?

You see the numbers we see. Trade quotes, allowances and any variation go to you in writing before the work happens, so the only surprises are the ones you choose.

Who will actually be on my job?

Josh or Nathanael. Josh is a registered builder; Nathanael is a qualified carpenter working toward his own registration. Both are on the tools and on site, backed by their own crew of apprentice carpenters and a qualified carpenter. You are not handed to a project manager you have never met.

Is my job too small for you?

No. Kitchens, bathrooms, decks and small extensions are as much a part of what we do as full renovations and custom new homes. Same crew, same open-book pricing, whatever the size.

Are you licensed and insured for my kind of work?

Domestic Builder Unlimited (CDB-U 75629) and Commercial Builder Low Rise (CCB-L 100254), so new homes, renovations, extensions and small-scale commercial are all covered. We carry $20 million public liability cover.

How long before you could start on mine?

It depends on the size of the job. Kitchens, bathrooms and smaller work are usually 4 to 6 weeks out. Full renovations and new builds are more like 3 to 4 months, once drawings and permits are done. You will get our real next available slot at the first meeting, including when that is further out than you would like.

Tell us about the build

A few questions about the site, the scope and your timing. If it is a job we are the right builder for, Josh or Nathanael will come and look at it.

No obligation. If we are not the right builder for your job, we will say so early.
